Meter Mania · 16 November 2026 – 14 March 2027

Format

The Winter Training competition has a team and an individual component. Before the start, every rower is randomly assigned to a team. The goal is simple: log the most meters as a team by the end of winter training. Bonus meters are awarded for completing specific events or competitions.

The Rules

  1. The competition starts 16 November 2026 and ends at midnight, 14 March 2027. No meters logged before or after these dates will be counted.
  2. Open to all comp men’s team rowers. Returning rowers MUST participate.
  3. Teams are assigned randomly. The team draw is conducted on Monday, November 9.
  4. The winner is the team with the greatest number of meters logged by midnight on 14 March 2027, plus any bonus meters. An individual award goes to the rower who logs the most meters.
  5. All meters must be logged through the Concept2 Logbook. Connect your account →
  6. Scoring:
RowErg meters count in full. BikeErg (“Berg”) meters count at half — 1,000m on the Berg = 500m toward the competition. SkiErg does not count.
  7. Meters must be logged at the time they are rowed — either entered manually or automatically through the C2 app. Keep a photo record of your erg screen if entering manually.
  8. All returning rowers must compete. Failure of a returning rower to log meters is an automatic four (4) weeks of dock duty.
  9. Bonus Meters: rowers may take part in any number of bonus-eligible events. After completing one, report it to the organizer so the bonus meters can be added to your total.
